Dual Power Hybrid
Built for maximum flexibility, the MultiDocker Dual Power Hybrid combines electric efficiency with the reliability of diesel power. Switch seamlessly between power sources to match your operational needs while maintaining the performance, quality and durability MultiDocker is known for.
With the ability to switch between electric and diesel power, operators can respond to changing site conditions without interruption. This intelligent solution maximises uptime while supporting a more flexible and efficient way of working.

Electric conversion technology
MultiDocker converts existing diesel-powered machines into electric or dual-drive (hybrid) material handlers. We work with machines from most major brands, replacing the diesel engine with CE-certified electric motors and a complete electrical system.
Our conversion technology is designed for port environments, industrial facilities and other heavy-duty applications, offering customers a reliable alternative to traditional diesel-driven equipment. With this approach, we extend machine capability into modern, electrically powered operations while maintaining familiar controls and functionality. This offers the client a more energy efficient, sustainable and environmentally friendly way to handle their cargo.
What we convert
MultiDocker converts existing diesel-powered material handlers into electric or dual-drive (hybrid) machines.
We can convert machines based on Caterpillar systems as well as other major heavy-equipment brands, depending on the customer’s machine and hydraulic system.
During the conversion, the diesel engine and all related components are removed and replaced with a complete electric drive system.
Electric drive system
The diesel engine is removed and replaced with one or more CE-certified electric motors.
Power is supplied by either:

a shore-power electrical connection provided by the customer, or
-
a generator connected to the machine.
The system uses AC motors and includes all required components such as switchgear, protected cable routing and the enclosure for the incoming power connection.
Variable Frequency Drive (VFD)
The electric motors are controlled through a Variable Frequency Drive.
The VFD provides:

protection against overload

protection against short circuits
-
reduced switching errors
-
reduced peak loads
We use CE-certified VFD units.
Control system integration
Our electric conversion integrates with the machine’s existing control system.

The same joysticks remain in use

Monitoring functions such as lubrication and temperature remain active
The machine continues to operate in a familiar and intuitive way for the operator.
